Last year, 88% of Aussies and Kiwis we surveyed found jobs in London without difficulty. This is an increase of 4% in comparison to 2017.
In a previous article – How Long Does it Take to Find A Job In London? – Results show that it would take longer to find a job in London in 2018 compared to the results of 2017. Ironically, our results reflect that they didn’t have any difficulty in finding these jobs.
There is a lower number reflected in the comparative numbers, showing a decrease with 17% of people finding it difficult in 2017 compared to 11% in 2018.
When we asked people in London if they thought it would be harder or easier to find a job in London in 2019, results show that they expected it to be more difficult then 2018, but about the same as 2017.
Yes, we confess our community gets a little assistance from us. Prior to when they arrive; we connect people heading to London with the UK recruiters most likely to get them jobs in London. Once connected with the right recruiters, people land jobs on their own virtues. This includes professional skills but a few other attributes as well, like perseverance and hard work.
There is also a clear and important message from Australians & New Zealanders looking for work in London and that is to plan, prepare & be organised.

Recruiters (for contracting) – seems like the easiest and most effective way especially when you’re new to London. As they already have that line of communication with the company and most companies are used to hiring contractors through recruiters.” – M.L
